Summer Moments

Our Programs team works months in advance to make sure our calendar is full of special, unique and memorable events for our guest families. This summer has been full of activities that are all of that and MORE.

  • The University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team, coaches and staff came in by bus to fill our House with the highest of high fives, the biggest smiles in pictures and a lot of great conversation. These young men represented their team and school in a way that families from around the world won’t soon forget.
  • We had an “Under the Sea” party featuring story time and themed treats. Guests got to hear the book, “Coral Reef Friends” and enjoy special treats and gifts thanks to Mary Veith, Amy Becker and Nancy Browing. From headbands to a shark photo opportunity, guests found themselves emersed in the theme and were still talking about it days after.
  • Some other highlights so far include a visit from the toe-tapping Dancing Grandmas, friends from the Cincinnati Zoo, George and Alice the therapy rabbits, pottery painting, photo frame making, ukelele playing, haircuts, manicures and many other activities for children of all ages.
  • These activities wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community. We are honored and hope the pictures below help share the true joy these moments provide, thanks to you.

Make a Difference for Families & Children

Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
